Spanish Ebola Nurse Cleared Of Deadly Virus

A Spanish nurse, who is the first known person to have contracted ebola outside West Africa in the current outbreak, is clear of the deadly virus. A blood test has revealed Teresa Romero, 44, who treated two patients who died of Ebola at a hospital in Madrid, is no longer infected. She has been in quarantine after testing positive for the virus on October 6. A statement issued by the authorities handling the crisis said Ms Romero's immune system had eliminated the virus from her body, although a second test would shortly be carried out to confirm this.
