A man who allegedly beheaded his wife has pleaded not guilty to murder.
Naveed Ahmed is accused of killing Tahira Ahmed at their home in Merton Avenue, Northolt, west London, on 27 May.
A post-mortem examination found that both the victim's arms had been broken, she had suffered stab wounds and her head had been cut off.
The couple are reported to have had two children aged between six and 12.
Ahmed, who is 41, entered his plea at the Old Bailey via video link from prison.
He will stand trial for killing the 38-year-old on 19 January next year.

Un esame post-mortem ha rilevato che entrambe le braccia della vittima erano stati rotti, aveva ricevuto coltellate e la sua testa era stata tagliata.
Viene riferito che la coppia ha avuto due bambini di età compresa tra i sei e i 12 anni.
Ahmed, che ha 41 anni, e' entrato in appello alla Old Bailey tramite collegamento video dal carcere.
Egli sarà processato per aver ucciso la trentottenne, il 19 gennaio del prossimo anno.
