Nella giungla di Calais in Francia, la distribuzione dei pasti si trasforma in una mega rissa tra 200 migranti afgani e sudanesi. Gli scontri hanno provocato il ferimento di almeno 40 persone nel campo profughi nel nord della Francia.
La rissa - di cui non si conoscono le ragioni - è scoppiata giovedì pomeriggio durante la distribuzione dei pasti nel centro di accoglienza diurno Jules Ferry e, secondo la prefettura, poi si è estesa ai container del Centro di accoglienza provvisorio.

La deflazione torna a minacciare il Giappone, dove i prezzi al consumo sono calati in aprile per il secondo mese consecutivo, nonostante gli stimoli monetari dell'istituto centrale.

CANADA - Scouts drop lawsuit vs. parents of man who alleged abuse
Scouts Canada has apologized for trying to sue the elderly parents of a deceased New Brunswick man who said he was sexually abused by his scout leader. The organization laid the third-party claim after it received notice it was being sued by Gilles DesRoches's estate over the alleged abuse. DesRoches took his own life in 2014 after years of mental anguish, which his family says was brought on by abuse he said he suffered as a boy in the 1970s. His widow and daughter vowed to get justice for him. They filed a lawsuit against Scouts Canada in 2015, saying the organization is responsible for the abuse that haunted him until his death.

CANADA - Knife-thieving crow tampers with crime scene
Canuck the crow, Vancouver's most notorious bird, is being accused of flying away with a knife from a crime scene. The crow has quite a reputation in Vancouver and its antics are regularly chronicled on social media, including a dedicated Facebook page that has a profile photo of the bird holding a knife in its beak. Earlier on Tuesday, police had shot a man near Hastings and Cassiar streets. They were called to the scene of a car engulfed in flames. When they arrived, police said, they were confronted by a man with a knife. Shots were fired and the man was arrested.
