One In Five Of All Crimes Not Recorded By Police

Police are failing to officially record one in five of the crimes reported to them, a damning report has revealed. An inspection of all 43 forces showed that 800,000 offences a year were not logged as crimes. Over a quarter of sexual offences were not recorded, while the figure for crimes of violence against the person was even higher at a third. Home Secretary Theresa May said: "This investigation ... confirms my concern that there have been utterly unacceptable failings in the way police forces have recorded crime." The report by Her Majesty's Inspectorate of Constabulary posed the question: "To what extent can police-recorded crime information be trusted?" The HMIC's Chief Inspector, Tom Winsor, said: "Failure to properly record crime is indefensible. This is not about numbers and dry statistics; it's about victims and the protection of the public. Victims of crime are being let down."

USA - Charles Manson Gets Licence To Wed 26-Year-Old

Charles Manson has obtained a marriage licence to tie the knot with a 26-year-old woman who visits him in prison. It was not immediately clear if the 80-year-old cult leader had set an exact date to marry Afton Elaine Burton, who runs a number of websites claiming he is innocent. A copy of the marriage licence, issued on 7 November, was seen by the AP news agency on Monday. Ms Burton moved to Corcoran, California, nine years ago to be near Manson, who was convicted in the notorious murders of seven people, including pregnant actress Sharon Tate. In an interview last year with Rolling Stone magazine, Ms Burton said she planned to marry Manson.

In posting copy of the page of the magazine "The Holland Times", where it is referred to as the Agreement between the Netherlands and Kazakhstan is ever more closely, both from a commercial point of view that government, Nanda Jagusiak quotes in this article thinking of Ambassador the Asian country Mainura Murzamadiyeva. Among the many things mentioned by the Ambassador of the Asian country in the developing world, fast compared to many others, appears a quote that reflects what we have always said in the past: If for Kazakhstan we are the Eldorado, they are even more for us. For years, we strive to make it clear to ordinary people like Holland and Kazakhstan may, by mutual agreement, to build an economic and commercial axis that can unite the two sides of the planet in a union by advancing in better their peoples. No trace of doubt was a very nice gesture, the Netherlands, to devote to Kazakh President Nursultan Nazarbayev a tulip, and still devote a central square of the city of Rotterdam to the city that will host the Expo 2017, Astana. But even more beautiful and felt it would be in the future, a complete commercial union between the two countries, opening up to tourism than spectacular areas of Asia, still virgins to mass tourism, the improvement of technology partnerships and the facilitation of their young people to come in Netherlands to prepare their future in their country of origin.
Let us therefore welcome those who come to us in peace to exchange operational and constructive exchange of lifestyles.
