DC Metro to shut down Wednesday for emergency safety inspection
The entire Washington, DC Metrorail will shut down for 29 hours beginning at midnight for an emergency inspection of electric cables a day after a fire caused massive disruptions throughout the system.
Officials will inspect as many as 1,200 pieces of equipment during the closure, WRC reported.

FLORIDA (Miami) - Cyber thieves install credit card skimmer in three seconds
A video showing a man installing a credit card skimmer at a store counter within three seconds demonstrates just how easy it is to set up the illegal devices. Footage of the quick fire installation was captured on a CCTV camera at a gas station in Miami, Florida and released by police.
The video shows two men enter the Chevron gas station store at 1453 Alton Road on Wednesday night. They go to the cash register with their items. One man distracts the clerk by asking for other items from a shelf off camera while the second man swiftly places a skimming device on top of the card terminal. In this instance, the skimmer became loose on the keypad the next day and was noticed by the shop assistant, who notified police.

Shots fired at police in Brussels during search linked to Paris attacks
Shots have been fired at Brussels police during a search linked to the November 13 terror attacks in Paris, AFP reports citing a prosecutor.
A police officer was injured during a house raid in the southern suburb of Forest, though it was unclear whether he was hit by gunfire, a police spokeswoman said, as cited by Reuters.
She declined to comment on reports that counterterrorism units were involved in the search.
The La Dernière Heure newspaper reported that a Kalashnikov was the gun used in the shooting, and that the shooter is on the loose.
The mayor of the municipality, Marc John Ghyssels, confirmed the shooting to Le Soir newspaper, but said the number of suspects on the run has not yet been determined.
Belgian authorities are still on the hunt for suspects and associates linked to the Brussels-based terrorists responsible for the attacks in Paris on November 13, which killed 130 people.
