Загадочный самолет помешал полету лайнеров Swiss и KLM над Японским морем



Российские диспетчеры предотвратили возможное столкновение самолетов в небе над Японским морем на высоте около 11 тысяч метров. К двум лайнерам приблизился неопознанный самолет, и расстояние было крайне опасным.

Ночь в музее - горожане пожертвовали сном ради прекрасного



Тысячам жителей города и гостям столицы этой ночью было не до сна. Москва экскурсионная манила выставками, театрами и галереями, которые работали "до последнего посетителя", причём, абсолютно бесплатно. В столице прошла десятая - юбилейная - акция "Ночь в музее".

В Москве прошел круглый стол, за которым врачи и общественники пытались договориться. Медики в целом - не против. Но предлагают разделить реанимацию по возможности доступа. В случае с крайне тяжёлыми пациентами родственники зачастую мешают. Другой вопрос, когда речь идет о неизлечимо больном ребёнке.

UK-Thousands of bikers ride through Woolwich to commemorate Lee Rigby



Several thousand bikers drove through the streets of Woolwich, London, on Sunday to commemorate the third anniversary of the death of British soldier Lee Rigby. The bikers were cheered on by hundreds of bystanders as they made their way to their destination, Rigby's memorial which is located close to Rigby's barracks also in Woolwich.

INDONESIA - Apocalyptic scenes as deadly volcano erupts, spewing hot ash, killing 7

Choking plumes of hot ash, thick smoke and torrents of lava - such apocalyptic scenes could be witnessed in Indonesia as Mount Sinabung struck, killing at least seven people. Social media have been flooded with photos and videos of the devastating volcano rumbling to life.  All victims were found in the village of Gamber in close proximity to the volcano, National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) spokesman Sutopo Purwo Nugroho said in a statement. The people were working on their farms when they were killed.

SPORT - Canada becomes 2016 Ice Hockey World champions defeating Finland 2-0 in Moscow final

A goal slapped in by Canadian prodigy Connor McDavid early in the first period gave Canada the lead in the final game of the 2016 Ice Hockey World Championship. Matt Duchene sealed the deal with an empty-better at the end of the third period.
Canada becomes an ice hockey’s world champions for the 26th time in its history, the second best record in the history of the Ice Hockey World Championships. The first spot is still held by Russia, with 27 victories, if combined with the results of the Soviet national teams.

VENEZUELA - Flexes military muscle amid economic crisis



Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro has sounded a defiant note despite widespread opposition protests against his government.
The Latin American country is reeling under severe economic and political crisis and the opposition says he has failed to address them.
The opposition is pushing for a vote that could remove Maduro from power, but the Venezuelan president said his government was ready to take on any threat: whether foreign or closer to home.

A small corner of New York City's Central Park is opening to the public after being closed for more than 80 years. During this time, the Hallett Nature Sanctuary was badly neglected.
The man behind the restoration project Doug Blonsky, president and CEO of the Central Park Conservancy, is trying to return the garden to its former glory.
