Russian watchdog cancels Wikipedia ban over cannabis entry
Just hours after it was enforced, the communications watchdog Roskomnadzor has cancelled its ban on the Russian-language version of Wikipedia over an entry about hashish that a court earlier ruled contained illegal information. Following a request by Roskomnadzor watchdog agency , some of Russia's internet service providers blocked the access to the free encyclopedia. The initial intention was to only block the controversial article, but Wikipedia warned that since it uses the HTTPS protocol, a single page cannot be blocked, which means the whole encyclopedia would be inaccessible. Roskomnadzor decided to go ahead with the ban anyway.

A 21-month-old baby boy was shot and killed in a St. Louis County neighborhood on Tuesday, local media reported. Law enforcement is investigating the situation.
So far, it's not clear how or why the shooting took place, or even where exactly the incident occurred. Police are looking into whether the death should be classified as a homicide.
After the shooting, the boy was taken to a local hospital by a woman, local KTVI reported. He was pronounced dead there.

3 dead in shooting in Roma camp in Roye, France
A shooting in northern France’s Roye has left three people dead and four seriously injured, including two policemen. The gunfire took place in a Roma camp. The circumstances of the deadly assault are yet to be established.
The shooting took place on Tuesday at a Roma camp in France’s Roye commune, the prefecture reports. The site is currently surrounded by armed police. Three people were shot dead – a man, a woman and a baby, who local media say was six months old. Four people are severely injured – two policemen, another child and the gunman himself, according to preliminary information.

Germany's Social Democrats HQ in Berlin evacuated following bomb threat, racist messages
The party headquarters for Germany's Social Democrats (SPD) has been evacuated following a bomb threat, Reuters reported. The party, which is based in Berlin, says it has received numerous threats with racist overtones since Monday.
According to the SPD, the threats began after the party's chairman, Sigmar Gabriel, visited the eastern German town of Heidenau on Monday, showing support for officials who faced violent protests while escorting asylum seekers into a shelter over the weekend.

Chinese markets crash again in biggest collapse in 20 years
The key Shanghai Composite Index sank another 7.67 percent Tuesday, extending its worst four-day rout since 1996.
Investors were rattled as the China Securities Regulatory Commission made no attempt to reassure markets after Monday’s crash, as they did a month ago after an 8.5 percent drop.
