Saudi prince arrested on private plane with 2 tons of drugs
Lebanese security forces are interrogating a Saudi prince on charges of carrying drugs on his private plane after they allegedly retrieved 2 tons of narcotics from the aircraft, local media reported.
Abd al-Muhsen bin Walid bin Abd al-Aziz Al Saud was detained on Monday in Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport.
The prince was about to conduct a flight on his private plane to Saudi Arabia.
Lebanese TV station Al Mayadeen also said that 40 packages of drugs, weighing 2 tons in total, were confiscated.
The prince was arrested and taken in for questioning along with four other people.

Wikileaks' 3d strike: New batch of documents from CIA's chief e-mails
Two more documents from CIA Director John Brennan’s private email account have been released by Wikileaks.
Among the documents in Monday’s release is a list of 22 people that belong to what Wikileaks referred to as “a current unidentified group.” The list includes contact phone numbers, email addresses, places of employment, security clearance information and social security numbers. One of the prominent names on the list is the current Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson.

Hong Kong ferry incident leaves scores injured - BBC News
At least 124 people were injured when a high-speed ferry travelling to Hong Kong from Macau hit an object in the water, say officials.
The ferry, with 174 passengers and crew on board, lost power close to Lantau island, at about 18:00 local time (10:00GMT) and began taking on water. Marine police boats were sent to rescue the passengers, with local media saying many had injuries to limbs and faces. Some passengers waited on board to be rescued for several hours.

Inside the permafrost 'time tunnel' - BBC News
Scientists are increasingly concerned about the potential for permafrost to thaw in a warming world. This permanently frozen layer of earth contains huge amounts of methane that could exacerbate climate change if the gas leaches into the atmosphere.
To help study the issue, the US Army Corp of Engineers has built a tunnel into permafrost near Fairbanks, Alaska. It allows researchers to travel back in time to see how permafrost impacted the Earth over the past 40,000 years.

7.7 earthquake hits Afghanistan, Pakistan & India
A 7.7-magnitude earthquake has struck northern Pakistan, US Geological Survey said. The tremor was felt in the capital, Islamabad, AP reported.
Tremors were also felt in Afghanistan's capital, Kabul, shaking buildings there, Reuters reports citing local witnesses.
Tremors sent locals running from their homes in Delhi, India.
