Scientists have treated what they believe to be the first case of internet addiction disorder caused by excessive use of Google Glass.
The 31-year-old man had been using the technology for around 18 hours a day - removing it only to go to bed and wash. The US Navy serviceman was found to show "significant frustration and irritability" when not able to use the device. The man also displayed a "notable, nearly involuntary movement of the right hand up to his temple area and tapping it with his forefinger" as if to switch on the heads-up display.

Gli scienziati hanno trattato quello che credono sia il primo caso di Internet Addiction Disorder causati da un uso eccessivo di Google Glass. Un 31enne della marina militare americana ha utilizzato la nuova tecnologia per circa 18 ore al giorno, rimuovendola solo per andare a letto e lavarsi. Il militare US Navy è stato trovato mostrare segni di frustrazione e irritabilità significativi quando non è in grado di utilizzare il dispositivo.
L'uomo mostra anche un notevole movimento, quasi involontario, della mano destra fino alla sua tempia toccandola con l'indice, come per voler accendere il display del dispositivo.
