Very good news from Kazakhstan: First kidney transplantation in Kyzylorda

For the firs time, a kidney transplantation has been conducted in Kyzylorda, Tengrinewsreports citing the press office of the Kyzylorda Oblast Akimat (Municipal Authorities).
A Kyzyorda native Yerdaulet Bozugulov was transplanted his sister Zhanagul’s kidney. The surgery was successful and the patient is currently recovering. Akim of Kyzylorgda Oblast Kyrymbek Kusherbayev visited Bozugulov at the hospital. Another 17 y.o. resident of Shieliy district will have a transplantation in November.
Kyzylorda Oblast is the fourth region in Kazakhstan where kidney transplantation is now conducted. Surgeons from the Almaty-based Syzganov’s National Science Center are training their Kyzylorda colleagues as a part of the state-run Kyzylorda Healthcare Roadmap project.
