Action from Brazil against Facebook censure

Actually it is not clear the motivation of having censured the image of a topless if the picture is not pornographic, and especially relates to a historical period of humanity. We saw the picture and frankly it has a flap absolutely cultural retrospective of the history of peoples. Should we believe that if it were a picture of a woman Assyrian-Babylonian topless, should be it censured? Maybe we are not exaggerating, but making confusion between photographs, historiography artistic, and production of pornographic images.

The Brazilian Ministry of Culture has announced plans to file a lawsuit against Facebook for blocking a photograph made back in 1909 showing an Indian with her breasts exposed. The Ministry said on Friday that Facebook is promoting censorship in the Internet trying to illegally and arbitrarily impose their standards in Brazil and other countries, thus disrespecting their rights to national self-determination. The move also violated numerous laws, such as the Constitution of Brazil and the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity and Cultural Expressions, the ministry said.
