Five cyclists caught on CCTV riding past the last known location of a girl who has been missing for a week have been urged to contact police.Fourteen-year-old Alice Gross was last seen at 13:00 BST on 28 August when she left the family home in Hanwell.Scotland Yard said the "distant" images of the cyclists were taken along the Grand Union Canal moments before Alice walked past them at 16.23 BST.
Her mother told the BBC Alice had recently been diagnosed with anorexia.
Description of cyclists
- A group of three cyclists and a further two riders were caught on CCTV on the Grand Union Canal at about 16:23 on 28 August.
- Cyclist one: Light coloured / white top, light blue trousers, and possibly a light coloured cycling helmet. Thought to be a mountain bike.
- Cyclist two: Light coloured top, light coloured trousers or shorts, with light and dark coloured shoes. May be a female's bicycle.
- Cyclist three: Dark short sleeve top, dark shorts, light and dark shoes. Possibly a mountain bike.
- Cyclist four: Dark top and dark trousers. Believed to be a mountain bike.
- Cyclist five: Grey hooded top with hood up, dark trousers and riding a mountain bike.
