At least 29 ebola patients have reportedly fled a quarantine centre in Liberia after it was attacked by armed men. "They broke down the doors and looted the place. The patients all fled," Rebecca Wesseh, who witnessed the attack, told AFP news agency. Local residents and the head of Health Workers Association of Liberia confirmed the attack had taken place overnight.
George Williams, head of the Health Workers Association of Liberia, said the unit housed 29 patients who were receiving preliminary treatment before being taken to hospital.
