The lake which located in
steps of Sary-Arka may become the Wonder of the World. This reservoir having been
100 meters in diameter lights up with neon fires in the night. Russian famous traveler
Oleg Belyayev recently visited this unique lake.
- We have once heard the
existence of this lake, which is located 100 m from Ballkhash, - says Belyayev.
- It has no name by virtue of its humble size. We have discovered it and built a
tent to stay for one night. At first, the light in the lake was muted and you
may take in glares of the Moon. But at 02:00 a.m. lake illuminated very
brightly as if someone at the bottom switched on PC screen. I even had a pain
in my eyes from intense light. Similar glittering lake exists also in
Australia. It is called Gippsland, and the nature of its neon illumination is
organic – local plankton has a bio illuminative effect. - The matter of
Kazakhstan's lake glow undoubtedly hidden in its organic features, - says Oleg
Belyayev. – Probably this is happening due to vital functions of special bacteria.
