Reports of man with ‘explosive device,’ hostage situation at bank office in downtown Moscow
A man has taken at least one person hostage at a bank office in downtown Moscow, local media report. The hostage-taker reportedly has an explosive device and is demanding negotiations with police.
The incident is reportedly taking place at a Citibank office on Bolshaya Nikitskaya Street, according to TASS.
Police and Russian National Guard units have been deployed to the scene.
