‘Political firestorm’: Knesset brawl erupts after Arab deputy calls IDF soldiers murderers
Clashes erupted between Israel parliament deputies during a parliamentary session on the country’s reconciliation agreement with Turkey. While signing the reconciliation agreement, member of Knesset for the Joint List Haneen Zoabi said that soldiers from the Israeli Defence Forces were "murderers" because of the attack on the Turkish humanitarian aid Freedom Flotilla in 2010. Zoabi's comment caused anger among members, with some Knesset members shouting and running towards the podium to remove her from the lectern.
