A gunman who stabbed and shot dead a 41-year-old Labour MP in a Leeds street "walked off very coolly, very slowly" after the attack, an eyewitness has told Sky News.
He then heard two shots. Immediately prior to that he had seen the owner of a dry cleaners , who he hailed as "the hero of the scene", wrestling with the man. After the shooting, he ventured out of the cafe where he and others had taken refuge, and described seeing the MP on the floor with her face bleeding.
