The resident of Atyrau made a video where he called the authorities to pay attention to a deplorable condition of the Ural River embankment.
"Look at the river shore and what's happening on river bank , how many tires and other garbage collected there. All this could be cleaned by hand", - comments the author of the video. He also pays attention that near the embankment the City Mayor's office, Governor's office and State University are located. "What a shame! The authorities don't' see it. Don't they allocate the money for that? There are so many tires, they never decay", - he complained. To recall, Baktykozha Izmukhambetov, Atyrau Oblast Governor spoke about the problems of the Ural River at the briefing at the Central Communications Centre. "The Ural River is getting shallow, but so far it is not turning into a bog. Let's not exaggerate things. But certain problems are present for a number of years. (...) This issue was several times raised at the government level.
It was proposed to establish a fund for rescue of the Ural River and our government completely supported that. But to this day we don't find support from the Russian party. We wanted to send this issue to the State Duma of the Russian Federation . But this issue hasn't been resolved yet and it remains open", - said the Governor.
