A 4 magnitude earthquake hit eastern Kazakhstan Friday evening, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center says.
According to the center, the tremors were felt at around 6:47 p.m. The epicenter of the earthquake was located 268 kilometers northeast of Taldykorgan city and 494 kilometers northeast of Almaty city. The quake had a depth of 9 kilometers.
