Il fantomatico "Taser", utilizzato da quasi tutte le polizie del mondo, entrerà a fare parte delle dotazioni per le forza dell'ordine italiane. La famosa pistola elettrica, che raggiunge facilmente il bersaglio a breve distanza, dà una breve scossa elettrica di basso amperaggio, sufficiente a rendere inoffensiva per qualche secondo la persona incriminata al fine di essere immobilizzata o ammanettata. Tutti sono concordi che ha un effetto paralizzante, ma in diverse occasioni si sono avuti infarti irreversibili. Sicuramente meglio il Taser che un colpo di pistola al petto, come in alcuni stati. Tuttavia si tratta ancora di un progetto e l'emendamento deve ancora passare dalle Camere e dal Senato.

The famous electric gun, which can easily reach the target at close range, gives a brief electric shock with low amperage, sufficient to render harmless for a few seconds the person concerned in order to be tied up or handcuffed. Everyone agrees that it has a paralyzing effect, but on several occasions there have been fatal heart attacks. Certainly better the Taser that a gunshot wound to the chest, as in some states. However, this is still a project, and the amendment must still pass by the Chambers and the Senate.
