Air France grounded as pilots begin one-week strike

The industrial action will cost Air France dear with estimates running at between 10 and 15 million euros a day. Travelers just want to reach their destination: “I was told earlier that the captain is on strike, so that’s why it’s been cancelled. And I thought that something was up when I saw that my flight wasn’t on the departures board. So I just have to hope that I can get back to Vienna in time to be at work,” said one of the stranded.
