The court seeks death penalty for Egypt’s ex-president Morsi over passing state secrets
An Egyptian court has sentenced ex-President Mohamed Morsi to death for passing state secrets, AP and Al Jazeera report. The verdict will now be handed over to the country’s Mufti and a final decision will be reached on June 2.
The court also seeks death penalty for Khairat el -Shater, a leading member of the Muslim Brotherhood for conspiring with foreign militant groups, according to Reuters.
