ITALY - Overcrowded fishing boat capsizes off Italian coast, 500 migrants rescued

The Italian navy has released distressing images of an overcrowded fishing boat capsizing off the Libyan coast, sending hundreds of migrants tumbling into the sea. Some 500 people have been rescued and at least five bodies have been recovered. Meanwhile the Italian coast guard's offshore patrol vessel 'Dattilo' docked in the port of Palermo with more than 1,000 migrants on board. They had been rescued during several operations in the Strait of Sicily.
