Manicures, haircuts, and massages -- a group of 30 women got pampered at the Yorkville spa for free Monday — after months or years inside Toronto's shelter system. "We just kind of empower them," said Judith Meikle, an organizer behind Project Beautiful. "We let them know they really are beautiful. And that in spite of the situation and circumstances they have been through, there is a group of people that will love them unconditionally." The event, in its sixth year, was organized by Rhema Christian Ministries at the beauty salon Azan's Hair.
