ROTTERDAM (NL) - Jamie Oliver opent Italiaans restaurant in Markthal

Tv-kok Jamie Oliver opent in het najaar een Italiaans restaurant in de Markthal in Rotterdam. Het is de eerste vestiging van Olivers restaurantketen Jamie's Italian in Nederland. Dat melden de Jamie Oliver Group en het bedrijf Italian Food Concepts van de Rotterdamse horecakoning Willem Tieleman.Met Jamie's Italian wil Oliver de sfeer van een Italiaans buurtrestaurant scheppen. Het concept wordt ‘een casual dining concept’ genoemd. Smakelijke en simpele gerechten uit de Italiaanse keuken met alleen verse ingrediënten. De eerste zaak werd in 2008 in Oxford geopend. Inmiddels zijn er in Groot-Brittannië 45 vestigingen en elders in de wereld nog eens dertien.
