US former first lady Nancy Reagan passes away at 94

Nancy Reagan, the wife of the 40th US President Ronald Reagan, died on Sunday morning at her home in Los Angeles, a spokesman for the family said. She was 94. The cause of death was congestive heart failure.
"Mrs. Reagan will be buried at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library in Simi Valley, California, next to her husband, Ronald Wilson Reagan, who died on June 5, 2004," her representative Joanne Drake wrote in a statement. Prior to the funeral service, members of the public will be able pay their respects at the Library.

Iran: condannato a morte il miliardario Zanjani, vicino ad Ahmadinejad



Uno degli uomini più facoltosi di Iran è stato condannato a morte per corruzione. Babak Zanjani, 41 anni, vicino all'ex presidente Ahmadinejad, possedeva una sessantina di società, fra cui una compagnia aerea, una fortuna da 13 miliardi di euro.
Per la giustizia iraniana Zanjani è colpevole di "aver diffuso la corruzione sulla terra" sviando oltre due miliardi di proventi petroliferi quando aiutava l'Iran ad aggirare le sanzioni internazionali, abolite dall'accordo entrato in vigore a gennaio.
